Many local councils in the areas impacted have “disaster dashboards” that will let you know about power outages, infrastructure issues, weather updates and the location of evacuation centres. These can be accessed via the state government links above or the links below:

In the case of a power outage, local radio will keep you up to date. If you have a battery-operated radio, you can tune into these stations.

Primarily of assistance after a flood or storm event, this portal here offers information on financial assistance, health services and mental health support. It will help you locate urgent care clinics and give advice about telehealth appointments.

Red Cross: For those who become separated from their family and friends, the Red Cross has started a register to help reunite loved ones during a disaster. Go here for more information.
Communify Queensland: This volunteer-led community centre has a disaster support directory that has information on homeless shelters, transport updates and emergency care. You can find it here.
