Race 4

3. Tikiroo was second-up from a spell when racing away to score by a big margin at Taree at her latest run. That was just his fourth run in a race, and he looks like he will be suited by the extra distance here. 1. Prosperous Dragon had looked good in his trials before debuting with a solid third at this track and he then backed that up with an all-the-way win at Newcastle. He can give cheek again. 2. Monty Be Quick had excuses when down the track on the Beaumont at Newcastle last time out and has since had a solid trial. 9. Yamba’s Girl was placed at Taree at her last start and can figure again.

How to play it: Tikiroo WIN.

Race 5

1. Gran Caballo is an import on debut for the new stable here and was a winner in Ireland over a staying trip at just his third start. He’s had two trials to prepare for this and looked good in the most recent of them. 7. Ana Carolina ran well when resuming at Hawkesbury and backed that up with a last start second at Canterbury. 12. Sacro Catino was just behind Ana Carolina when they last clashed at Canterbury, while 9. Conaltri comes out of the same race in which he finished seventh.

How to play it: Gran Caballo WIN.

Race 6

1. Sunday Tycoon was first-up from a spell when he recovered from a bad start to score a strong finishing win just before Christmas. This is harder but he shows talent and is worth plenty of thought. 5. Savoldi was a Newcastle winner on debut then ran second at Muswellbrook before being spelled. He’s had a trial leading into this. 6. Turf Fever won well on debut at Port Macquarie, while 7. Stormfield has performed well in both runs since resuming.

How to play it: Sunday Tycoon EACH WAY.

2. Norton Road led when a last start eighth in Midway grade at Randwick. He will find this an easier assignment and he’s won two from three at this track. 5. French Marine ran home well for a last start second at Kembla Grange and should run well again if he can repeat that from the wide draw here. 8. Zoe was big odds when going to the front here at her latest start and fighting on too well to score. She can give cheek again here if she can get sone peace on the speed from an outside gate. 1. Gardenzio won at this track last March then was midfield in a Highway before a spell. He resumed with a midfield effort here and should be improved.

How to play it: Norton Road WIN.

Best Bets: Race 2 (4) Azucar.

Race 5 (1) Gran Caballo.
