Rescue effort under way after Defence vehicle crashes, injuring 22

Up to 22 people have been injured and there are reports two are still trapped after an Australian Defence Force vehicle crashed near the flood-hit town of Lismore in northern NSW.

Initially, Moir assisted in triage and first aid before ambulance, local RFS and police rescue arrived to begin the rescue operation of three trapped ADF personnel.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said there was a crash involving a Defence vehicle just after 5pm at Tregeagle, 10 kilometres south of Lismore.
An emergency response is still under way, but the spokesman said there were initial reports of 22 patients injured in the crash.
Eighteen ambulance resources have been deployed to the scene.
Nine News has reported that two ADF vehicles were travelling down Tregeagle Road when one of them rolled and the other also crashed.
According to the reports, eight of the personnel have been seriously injured and two remain trapped.
