Poll: Who you got, then?
Gakpo goes again
Another sight of goal for Gakpo as he cuts in from the left but his shot is too powerful and goes well wide.
As good as Liverpool look going forward, I should probably say as well that Spurs are threatening with regularity too. Or at least they’re threatening to threaten. The way they’re playing is creating openings for them, they’ve just got to be good enough to take them.

Chances for Salah, Gakpo
There’s a shot over the bar for Mohammed Salah – took the ball off Diego Jota, but the real architect of that move was Cody Gakpo who made a sizzling run down the left. There, in a flash, we see just how dangerous Liverpool can be at any given moment.
And now Gakpo goes from long range! It skids into the arms of Kinsky who semi-spills it but manages to quicky recover. Elementary save, but more difficult than it looked in these slippery conditions.

11 minutes of stoppage time to come!
Danger cleared, thanks to Yves Bissouma. And now we’re waiting the fourth official to show us how much more football there will be before half-time… 11 minutes!

And breathe…
Liverpool has taken a bit of the sting out of this frantic match in the last few minutes by retaining possession and just stroking it around … and as I say that they put it out for a throw-in! Neither side can hold onto the ball for very long at the moment.
I’m just waiting to see how much injury time will be added onto this first half. Would have to be at least seven to eight minutes given the Bentancur stoppage.
And phew – a Liverpool raid down the left looks like it’s going to pay dividends until the foot of Lucas Bergvall saves the day. Now the Reds will have a free kick, just outside the box…

Kinsky saves!
The new man in goal is called into action to save a free header from Alexis Mac Allister, who probably should have done better with that chance from a free kick. Kinsky has settled really well and his distribution is fantastic; you can see what a difference he makes for Spurs already.

Liverpool forced into a change
Now both teams have been forced to turn to their bench due to injury – this time, for Liverpool, Jarell Quansah the centre-back is down. His night is done, and Wataru Endo is summoned to replace him.

Salah goes wide!
There’s the first major chance of the game for Liverpool, teed up wonderfully for Mohammed Salah at the top of the box – it’s just wide of the target.
What a game this is already!

Spurs are looking good
Tottenham have definitely made the strong start – Son almost created another chance there but his ball into the six-yard box was met by Dominic Solanke who couldn’t quite divert it into the net. But they are applying huge pressure on Liverpool at the moment. Excellent, positive stuff.

Johnson on, Bentancur off
Yep, that change has been made – still no actual confirmation of what has happened to Bentancur but we have to assume some kind of head injury after a delay of that length. We hope he’s OK.
Meanwhile, the corner was taken by Spurs and easily collected by Alisson. Bit weird, I have to say, that we’re straight back into the action after something like that.

Bentancur is down
Rodrigo Bentancur is the player who has been receiving treatment on the field for the last several minutes following an incident from that corner. The broadcasters haven’t shown a replay so I have no idea what actually happened and nobody else seems to know either. Sounds like he’ll have to come off and Brennan Johnson may be the one to replace him, as he’s warming up.
Expect a good chunk of injury time before the break. There’s not been any play for almost five minutes.
